Petros Kusmu is an experienced consultant interested in innovation and public policy. While completing his BA (Honors) in Economics at the University of Albert, he partly edited a New York Times Best Seller – The Third Industrial Revolution – at the Foundation on Economic Trends in Washington, DC. Post graduation, Petros was President of the U of A Students' Union – a $13.5 million organization that represents over 31,000 students. During his term, he successfully co-led efforts to change provincial election laws, bolster federal PSE funding schemes and created Canada's largest student-led consultative PSE project. Petros recently completed his MSc in International Political Economy at the London School of Economics on a full-ride scholarship as a Chevening Scholar. In London, Petros worked as a consultant for the European Parliament and an international NGO. Prior to joining Monitor as a Senior Consultant, Petros assisted instaMek in expanding their venture-backed startup into a nation-wide business. Currently, he is leading Canada's delegation to the Youth 20 Summit in China for the G20.
